Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026 ยท stmt2excel.in is operated by a sole proprietorship in India.
๐ TL;DR โ Your bank data never leaves your device.
stmt2excel uses a 100% client-side architecture. Your PDF is processed locally in your browser by JavaScript. No bank statement data, passwords, or account numbers are ever sent to our servers.
No Data Collection โ Ever
stmt2excel.in is built on a zero-upload architecture. When you drop a bank statement PDF into our tool, the file is read entirely by JavaScript running inside your browser tab using the PDF.js library. The raw bytes of your PDF never travel over the network. We have no server that receives, stores, or processes your financial data.
Password-Protected PDFs
If your bank statement is password-protected, you will be prompted to enter your password. This password is used exclusively in memory within your browser session to decrypt the PDF locally. The password is immediately discarded after the PDF is unlocked โ it is never stored in a cookie, database, local storage, or transmitted anywhere.
What We Don't See
We cannot see your account number, transaction history, or any financial information. Because all processing runs client-side, even our own servers are technically incapable of receiving this data. There is no backend route that accepts PDF uploads.
Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregated, anonymous usage data โ page views, session counts, and device types. GA4 does not receive any personally identifiable financial information. We use a single session cookie for authentication (NextAuth.js / Google Sign-In). No third-party advertising cookies are set.
Contact & Grievances
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please reach out to us at privacy@stmt2excel.in. We will respond within 7 business days as required under the IT Act, 2000.
